Currently accepting new clients

Angela is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and empathy. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree, along with a minor in sociology, from University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. After relocating to Iowa, Angela continued her education and earned her Master of Social Work degree from University of Iowa through the downtown Des Moines program.

Angela brings more than 15 years of professional experience working alongside crime victims, survivors, and their supportive loved ones within criminal justice and hospital settings. She sees individuals ages 13+. Her background in crisis intervention has allowed her to provide emotional support, stabilization, advocacy, and compassionate care during some of life’s most difficult moments. Through this work, she developed a deep appreciation for the resilience of individuals navigating trauma, grief, and unexpected life transitions.

In her therapy practice, Angela strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. She is passionate about helping clients process life experiences, build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move forward in their healing journey with confidence and self-compassion. Angela believes therapy is a collaborative process and values meeting clients where they are while helping them work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, bonus daughter, and two dogs. Whether traveling back to Wisconsin for road trips, tackling home improvement projects, or cheering on the Green Bay Packers, she values connection, laughter, and making meaningful memories with family and friends.
